Today was about one thing: beach. We figured out through some recon yesterday that topless was not the norm in Portugal. Don't worry, we just compared boob tans, so we are all set (for a few days - Liza cannot be satisfied). On our way to beach time, we stopped for caffe and breakfast and met a gal from New York who was traveling from Spain by herself. She invited us to join her table outside, and after confirming that she was not an agent for a white slavery organization, we invited her to join us for the day. WE MADE A FRIEND. We had thought WB would be in her element here since pastries are one of the things they are known for in PGal, but for some reason she went against the grain and ordered a hot dog in a croissant. Needless say a lot of cat anus went uneaten.
Liza had heard that the water here was cold, and she was wrong - it's fucking freezing. We didn't do much/any swimming because of that, though she would tell you it was because of the rocks. Actually, some of us did get into the water, but thats a whole other story. WB invented a sport called "walk surfing" where you walk up to the edge and then run when the surf rolls in. Its pretty fun, okay you guys. All in all we did about 5 hours of lie downs and surfer spectating. I'm not complaining. Our new friend lost her glasses so she snuck off to find a new means of sight (even though the always helpful Liza offered her a set of contacts), and after awhile we made our way back into town for an afternoon snack.
Ericeira Is very similar to CdP in Spain, except about 20% larger. Among my favorite parts of the day was when our new friend asked us how we'd found out about this little town. To me that is a sign of success.
After some strolling we found a tapas (!!!!) place that some of the guide books had mentioned. We had some mussels, which were enormous, some potatoes, and what can only be described as ground up game meat that is the fried. Let me tell you - take a slice of sautéed potato, put some of this in the middle and make a taco - you won't be complaining.
Once done with some awesome white sangria, we strolled back down to the water for a fashion shoot and are now back at the hotel to get ready for some seafood delight. And guess what -- we have a special guest ...

B!!!!!
